Castiglione Tinella is a municipality of about 900 inhabitants set in an area recently recognized World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Covering a total area of 11.57 square kilometres, it is located at an altitude of 408 metres above sea level, and is surrounded by a vineyard landscape.
